The premise of the song is that a cat is sent for milk, a dog is sent for meat and a monkey is sent for nuts, but once sent they never return.
I’d guess that Dude’ is milk, marsu is meat and nariwal is nut (poss. Coconut). I know that Be ra loh is cat, koo koo rah is dog and that barde rah is monkey. I wonder if the suffix rah (after monkey and dog) and loh might be gender signifiers. Could be interesting to try and run a code breaker activity, or of course ask a handy Nepali speaker. The song went through some animals, I liked the way they expressed the animals. Instead of bow wow; for a dog, they do a kind of begging action. Hmm we are out of village life just had donuts and coffee for breakfast.
