Located at a height of over 2000 meters and about 3 kms from downtown, the beautiful Snow point is also accessible via a Cable Car/ Rope Way. It is one of the most visited tourist spots of Nainital. Naina Devi was India’s highest peak until Kanchenjunga in Sikkim was absorbed into the country. An old brass plate that reads “The Highest Mountain in the British Empire”, greets tourists at Snow view point.

To get there, Cable Car and an aerial ropeway starts at Mallital, where there are two trolleys to carry passengers in a Cable Car. It provides breathtaking views of the 350 km long range of snowcapped Himalayan Mountains. There is a huge at this spot to view the beautiful town of Nainital and the surrounding valley regions can be seen through a giant pair of Binoculars here.

Visit the temple that houses images of Rama, Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman with Durga and Shiva, take photographs and enjoy some hot tea and snacks.
